Tom Tom Strut : Single & Video : This is track number seven in my set of quirky songs.

It tells the story of Native American tribes, and features the home of the Redskin who live in wigwams that are set in windswept plains and hunting grounds which are located westward from the Mississippi amongst rocky mountains and blue lakes.

The video depicts this really well and was great fun to make, the costumes, particularly the head-dresses were amazing, it is a very colourful video, with some great visuals of rocky landscapes, campfires and shows some spectacular nighttime and daytime scenes.

The characters in it are Hiawatha, Big Chief Om , Big Chief Sitting Bull, Little Big Horn and Blackfoot. They send smoke signals and chant “Omberega”,and “Hiayaiya” the tribes have painted faces, they carry bows and arrows, peace pipes and tomahawks.

In the video we have a rain dance and a pow wow as well as a totem pole that we all we dance around. I also played tom toms in it, a mini piano and guitar, the mini piano is really quirky, well the whole song is really !

My two great danes feature in the video, and some gophers and the song lyrics also include a mighty moose, buffalo and beavers.

It is quite hard to fit this one into any particular genre , I guess it has a slight reggae feel to it, and is probably one of my more off the wall songs. This track is quite commercial in a strange sort of way, it is very different all round.

I play an organ solo in it which adds to the unusual feel of the song. I can’t really compare this to any other tracks or artists music wise as it really is quite bonkers, I suppose parts of it are more of a chant than a song!.

The video is exactly as I pictured it in my head when I wrote it a while ago, quirky, funky and funny I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.
